On Sunday 7 June at 6.00pm we held a celebration of communion in the tradition of the Church of South India. Rev Devadas Matcha led our worship for the last time at Overend before he leaves to take up a new appointment. The quiet service included Indian hymns, and characteristic features such as rangoli floor art, the lighting of lamps, the sprinkling of flower petals, sharing the peace with the use of the nama skara gesture etc. To see photographs of the service click here.

Barry Blunt was a long & devoted servant of Trinity Methodist and then Overend Mission and his recent passing will be sadly missed by all here at Overend. To read the eulogy given at his funeral on 21st May by Margaret on behalf of church members, click here

Fairtrade: we are pleased to have been recognised as a Fairtrade Church. When we serve tea and coffee after services & special events we ensure we purchase Fairtrade products.We will be selling Fairtrade products after our services; we have a wide range of goods ranging from pasta and coffee to chocolate.
